Delivering Critical Support to our Neighbors

We know those at highest risk for COVID, whether a child with cystic fibrosis or an 83-year-old who is immunity compromised, should not be leaving their homes for food.  In Las Vegas there are many opportunities to obtain free groceries, meals, and school lunches, but every one of them requires leaving the house.

Recently, the Investment Counsel Company (ICC), learned of an organization doing vital work in our community that is in great need of financial support. Delivering with Dignity, launched in response to the novel coronavirus crisis, picks up and delivers prepared meals directly to in-need households all over the valley. Through partnerships with local restaurants, nonprofit agencies, private contributions and corporate sponsorships, the program has delivered more than 40,000 meals directly to high-risk residents who may not be able to leave their homes or have a reliable support system to acquire food and needed supplies.

Delivering with Dignity relies on private contributions and corporate sponsorships to fund their work, and ICC was recently recognized by the organization for its generous donation.  ICC, founded in 1987, is committed to improving peoples’ lives, especially in our Southern Nevada community. ICC has a long history of lending their expertise, resources, and financial support in the Las Vegas area. Their philanthropic strategy is based on providing long-term, systemic improvement. However, at times, a crisis emerges that calls for quick, tactical action, and ICC is adept at responding during chaotic times.

These are unusual and challenging times. There are many opportunities to support our neighbors, many of which simply require your time.  For further information about community needs and resources related to COVID-19 in southern Nevada please click on the links below:
